Accessibility
Lenori is built to be usable with the assistive technology people already rely on. This page says what that means in practice, and what we have actually implemented rather than what we aspire to.
Our target
We aim at WCAG 2.2 Level AA for this website, and at Apple's accessibility guidance for the iOS app.
We do not claim conformance has been formally audited or certified, and we have not been assessed by a third party. Where we fall short, we would rather hear about it and fix it than publish a claim we cannot stand behind.
On this website
Implemented and checked:
- Semantic HTML with one
h1per page, a logical heading order, and landmark regions. - A skip link to the main content on every page.
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, and full keyboard operation — there is nothing you can reach with a pointer that you cannot reach with a keyboard.
- Interactive targets of at least 44×44 px.
- Text contrast meeting AA on both the light and dark palettes.
- Descriptive link text, and alt text on every image describing what it shows.
- Layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 px and at 200% text zoom.
- Respect for Reduce Motion; the site has no autoplay, no parallax and no motion that conveys meaning.
- Support for the system light and dark appearance.
- No JavaScript, so nothing depends on scripting being available.
In the Lenori app
- VoiceOver — controls carry labels, values and hints. A Lenori row announces its name and state; an app-icon tile announces whether it is selected or locked.
- Dynamic Type, including the accessibility sizes, with layouts that reflow rather than truncate.
- Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast are all respected.
- Touch targets sized to Apple's 44 pt guidance.
- Full keyboard navigation on iPad.
- English and French, both written rather than machine-translated.
None of this is behind a purchase.
Known limits
- The app's screenshots on this site are images of the interface. Their alt text describes what each screen shows, but the text inside a screenshot is not selectable.
- The site is published in English only. The app is available in English and French.
Telling us about a problem
If something here or in the app is unreachable, unreadable or unusable with assistive technology, please write to support@lenoriapp.com.
It helps if you can say which page or screen, what device and iOS version you are using, which assistive technology is involved, and what you expected to happen. We treat these as bugs.
