Creating and editing Lenoris

To create one, tap the button at the top of Today. Give it a name, then choose its colour, its icon and how it should work:

Then choose a schedule: every day, a number of days per week, particular weekdays, or every n days. You can change any of this later.

To edit one, open it from Today and use the edit control, or long-press its row on Today. Changing the schedule does not erase the history you have already recorded.

Completing, correcting and undoing

Tap the circle at the right of a row to mark a Lenori done for today. Counted Lenoris show − and + instead; timed ones show a button that adds minutes.

To undo, tap the same control again.

To record a day you missed, open the Lenori and use its calendar: tap the day you want and set it there. Completions can be backdated — the history is meant to be correctable, because real life is recorded after the fact.

Lenoris not scheduled for today appear under their own heading rather than being hidden, so you can still complete one.

Reordering, archiving and deleting

To reorder, press and hold a row on Today and drag it. The order is yours and is kept.

To archive, long-press the row and choose archive. An archived Lenori leaves Today but keeps its history, and can be brought back.

To delete, long-press the row and choose delete. This removes the Lenori and its completions, and cannot be undone. If you might want the history later, archive instead, or export first.

Momentum and streaks

These are two different things, deliberately.

Momentum is the panel above the list. It counts the days you came back — a day counts because you opened Lenori, not because everything in it was completed. It shows how many of the last seven days you returned, and the run you are currently on.

The Momentum record is kept on each device and is not synced through iCloud, so a second device builds its own. It holds the most recent 365 days.

A streak belongs to a single Lenori and counts consecutive scheduled completions for that one thing. It respects the schedule: a Lenori set to three days a week does not break because you skipped a day it was never due on. Streaks sync with everything else.

If a streak looks wrong, check the Lenori's schedule and its calendar first — a backdated completion can change a streak retroactively, which is intended.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device. The first time you set one, iOS asks for permission.

If reminders are not arriving:

Widgets

Add a widget the usual way: long-press the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap + or Customise, find Lenori, and pick a size.

If a widget looks out of date: widgets are refreshed by iOS on its own schedule, not continuously. Open Lenori once and the widget will catch up. If it still looks wrong, remove the widget and add it again.

If a widget looks washed out, check the Home Screen appearance — iOS re-tints every widget under the Tinted and Clear appearances, and that is the system doing it rather than Lenori.

Exporting your data

Lenori can write your Lenoris and their completions out as CSV or JSON, and read them back in. The export is in Settings; iOS then asks where to save the file, so where it goes is your choice.

Export before deleting a Lenori you might want the history of later — deleting one removes its completions too, and that cannot be undone.

iCloud and being signed out

Lenori syncs through your own private iCloud database. There is no Lenori account to create.

There is no iCloud switch inside the app. Syncing follows Settings → [your name] → iCloud, the same way Reminders and Notes do. Lenori's Settings screen reports the current status so you can see what is happening.

Signed out of iCloud, Lenori works normally and keeps everything on the device. Nothing is lost; it simply does not travel to your other devices until you sign in.

If a second device is missing something: confirm both are signed into the same Apple Account, that iCloud is enabled for Lenori on both, and that both have a connection. Sync is not instant — give it a little time with the app open.

Deleting the app does not delete the iCloud copy. To remove that too, use Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Purchases and Restore Purchases

Premium unlocks the twelve additional themes and all twenty alternate app icons. It becomes available with the App Store release.

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Lenori never sees your payment details.

Restore Purchases is on the purchase screen. Use it after reinstalling the app, on a new device, or any time something you bought is not showing. It asks the App Store what your Apple Account owns and unlocks accordingly.

If a payment fails or you cancel the sheet, nothing is charged and nothing unlocks.

If you had Premium and it lapsed, an alternate app icon you were already using stays on your Home Screen. Other premium icons and themes lock again.

Cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Lenori. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap Lenori, then Cancel Subscription.

You can also manage subscriptions in your Apple Account on the web: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by DS Entertainment LLC. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Themes and app icons

Themes are in Settings → Appearance. There are sixteen, each with a daylight and a night composition. Four are free: Linen, Sage, Rose Clay and Lagoon. Appearance follows your device's light or dark setting, except for the themes built for night only.

App icons are in Settings → App Icon. Pick one and iOS will ask you to confirm the change — that confirmation is Apple's, and it appears for every app that changes its icon. The original icon is always available at the bottom of the gallery.

If an icon does not appear to change, close the app and look at the Home Screen; iOS sometimes redraws it a moment later.

Accessibility

Lenori is built to be used with assistive technology, and none of it is behind a purchase.

If something is unreachable with VoiceOver or unreadable at a large text size, please tell us — that is a bug, and we would like to fix it.
