Privacy Policy

Applies to: the Lenori app for iPhone and iPad, and this website

1. The short version

Lenori keeps what you write in it on your own device, and — if your device is signed into iCloud — in your own private iCloud database. There is no Lenori account, no Lenori server and no analytics, and DS Entertainment LLC cannot read your Lenoris.

Two things happen outside the app, and this policy describes both rather than rounding them down to nothing: if you email us, we receive and keep that email (§12), and this website is hosted by GitHub, which processes ordinary server information such as IP addresses in order to serve the page (§13).

2. No account, no server

Lenori has no sign-up, no password and no user profile. It does not operate a backend service of any kind.

The app contains no networking code of its own. It makes no HTTP requests and opens no sockets. The only network activity it causes is performed by Apple's own frameworks on your behalf: iCloud synchronisation and, when you buy something, the App Store.

Lenori contains no third-party software libraries — no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service, no tag manager.

3. What Lenori stores on your device

All of the following is written to Lenori's own storage on your device, inside its app container:

Data Lenori stores locally on your device
WhatWhy
Your Lenoris — names, colours, icons, type, schedule, notes and archive state They are the content of the app
Completions — which day each Lenori was completed, and any count or minutes recorded History, streaks and scores
Display preferences — theme, light/dark mode, chosen app icon, Momentum panel mode, the hour your day starts, which day your week starts on So the app looks and behaves the way you set it
A return log — the calendar days on which you opened Lenori, stored as plain day numbers Draws the Momentum panel. Capped at the most recent 365 days
Your onboarding answers — what you said matters to you, and what gets in the way Chooses a line of supporting text. Never transmitted
A small summary for the widgets — the day's Lenoris and progress So widgets can draw without opening the full database
A record of what you have purchased — the product identifier, the expiry date if any, and when Apple last confirmed it So the app knows what you own when it is offline. It contains no payment information

Lenori declares its use of Apple's UserDefaults API in its privacy manifest, with the reason code CA92.1 — data accessible only to the app and its own widget extension.

4. What syncs through iCloud

If your device is signed into iCloud and iCloud is enabled for Lenori, your Lenoris and their completions are synchronised between your own devices using Apple's CloudKit private database.

What that means in practice:

There is no iCloud switch inside Lenori. Synchronisation follows the setting iOS already gives you, in Settings → [your name] → iCloud. Lenori's own Settings screen only reports the current status. If you are signed out, or you turn iCloud off for Lenori, everything continues to work and stays on the device.

Your display preferences and the return log described above are not synced — they stay on each device.

5. Notifications

Reminders you set on a Lenori are scheduled locally by iOS. Lenori has no push server and sends nothing to anyone to make a reminder appear. The text of a reminder is composed on your device.

iOS asks for your permission the first time you set one. You can change or withdraw it at any time in Settings → Notifications → Lenori.

Lenori also declares the remote notification background capability. This is used by Apple's iCloud synchronisation to tell the app quietly that your own data has changed on another of your devices. It is not used for marketing, and Lenori cannot send you a push message.

6. Purchases

If Lenori offers a purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit. Lenori never sees and never receives your card number, your billing address, or your Apple Account credentials.

What the app receives from Apple is a cryptographically verified record that a purchase exists: which product, whether it has expired, and whether it was refunded. That record is what Lenori stores locally, as described above.

Refunds, cancellations and subscription management are handled by Apple. See Terms and Support.

7. What Apple receives

Even though Lenori collects nothing, Apple necessarily processes some information in order to distribute the app and run its services:

Apple's own privacy policy governs all of this.

8. What Lenori does not do

Each of the following describes the app, and each was verified against its source code and its privacy manifests. Information handled outside the app — support email, and web server processing by the site's host — is described in §12 and §13.

9. Keeping and deleting

Your Lenori data stays until you delete it.

The return log keeps a maximum of 365 days and discards anything older on its own.

Because DS Entertainment LLC holds none of your data, there is no copy on our side to request, correct or delete. If you write to us by email, we hold that email — see §12.

10. Security

Lenori relies on the protections built into iOS: your device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and the file-level encryption iOS applies to app storage. Data in transit to and from iCloud is encrypted by Apple.

Lenori does not add a separate passcode or biometric lock of its own, and it does not implement its own encryption. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

11. Children

Lenori is a general-audience app. It is not directed to children, and DS Entertainment LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children — the app collects no personal information from anyone.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to privacy@lenoriapp.com and we will delete it.

12. Your choices

Asking about information we actually hold

Because the app sends us nothing, the only information DS Entertainment LLC holds about you is what you have sent us yourself — an email and anything attached to it.

To ask what we hold, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, write to privacy@lenoriapp.com from the address you used, and say which of the three you want. We will act on it and tell you when it is done.

We cannot act on your Lenori content this way: it is on your device and in your own iCloud account, where only you can reach it. Deleting it is described in §9.

13. This website

lenoriapp.com is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party scripts, and has no contact form or login.

It is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub processes the requests that reach it, which includes your IP address, in order to serve the page and protect the service. That processing is GitHub's, under GitHub's Privacy Statement. DS Entertainment LLC does not receive or keep web server logs.

The typeface and every image are served from this domain, so loading a page contacts no one else.

14. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page. Because Lenori has no account, we cannot email you about a change — please check this page.
