What Lenori does

Everything below describes the app as it is built. Features marked Premium require an in-app purchase; everything else is included.

Lenoris

A Lenori is anything you want to return to: a person, a ritual, a responsibility, a part of yourself. You give it a name, a colour and an icon.

Schedules are flexible: every day, a number of days per week, specific weekdays, or every n days. Lenoris that are not scheduled for today are listed separately rather than hidden.

You can reorder them, edit them, archive them and delete them. Nothing is capped — there is no limit on how many Lenoris you can keep.

Completing a day

Tap the circle on a row to mark it done. Counted and timed Lenoris use their own controls in place of the circle. A badge beside the date keeps the day's tally — 3 of 5 done.

You can correct the past: completions can be backdated, and a day can be edited from the Lenori's own calendar.

Momentum and streaks

The Momentum panel sits above the list. It shows how many of the last seven days you came back, the streak you are on, and a strip of the week behind you. It is drawn over one of fifty photographic scenes, which advance as you return, so the screen you open is rarely the same twice.

Momentum counts returning, not completing — a day counts because you opened Lenori, not because everything in it got done. That record is kept on the device and is not synced, so each device keeps its own. It holds the last 365 days.

Each Lenori also keeps its own streak and its own completion history, which do sync with everything else.

Overview

A matrix of every Lenori against the days behind it, so a month reads at a glance. Tap into any Lenori for its score, its streak and a full calendar.

Widgets

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show the day's Lenoris and how far through the day you are. They read a small summary the app writes to its own shared container; the widget never opens your full history.

Reminders

Give a Lenori a reminder and iOS schedules it locally. Lenori has no push server and sends nothing anywhere to make a notification appear. iOS asks for permission the first time, and you can withdraw it at any point in iOS Settings.

Themes

Sixteen themes, each with a daylight and a night composition, and each with its own treatment of the Momentum panel.

Free: Linen, Sage, Rose Clay, Lagoon.

Premium: Periwinkle, Apricot Cocoa, Plum, Slate, Emerald Forest, Abyssal Ocean, Alpine Dawn, Desert Ember, Golden Meadow, Ruby Conservatory, Arctic Aurora, Amethyst Highlands.

Appearance follows your device's light or dark setting unless a theme is built for night only.

App icons

Twenty alternate Lenori icons, plus the original the app ships with.

The original icon is always available and needs no purchase. The twenty alternates are Premium. An alternate you are already using keeps working if Premium lapses, so nothing changes on your Home Screen because a payment did.

Accessibility

iCloud

Your Lenoris, their completions and their settings sync between your devices through your own private iCloud database. There is no Lenori account and no Lenori server in between.

There is no switch inside the app: syncing follows the setting iOS already gives you, the same way Reminders and Notes do. Settings shows you the current status. Signed out of iCloud, Lenori keeps working and keeps everything on the device.

Your data, exportable

Lenori can write your data out as CSV or JSON, and read it back in. Where the file goes is your choice, through the iOS file picker.

Free and Premium

Premium unlocks two things: the twelve additional themes and the twenty alternate app icons. Everything else in Lenori is included.
